11:40     Mindfulness session:  Gardening in the Moment - Breathing Spaces
This is a taster session from the 'Gardening in the Moment' course Breathing Spaces is offering through the Recovery College.

You are welcome to bring a packed lunch -  cafes and shops are nearby

2:45 - 3:45pm Music for Wellbeing
Daniel Gilmore (Sussex Music School) and Buddies Cafe will lead this drumming,ukulele and singing session. All are welcome, and active participation is optional.

7 - 9pm Worthing Mental Health Carers Open Meeting

Guest Speaker - Catherine Amey, author of Psychosis Though My Eyes.

9:30am    Power of Attorney, Trust Funds: Will Power

James and Sian will give an overview of how Powers of Attorney and Trust Funds protects the rights and interests of the vulnerable.

10:30 - 12:30  'Living With Guilt': Carers Support West Sussex's Emotional Wellbeing Team

This workshop explores how we find ourselves living  full of guilt. Guilt, an emotional warning sign, lets us know when we've done something wrong to help us develop a better sense of how our behaviour affects ourselves and others. How can we combat our guilty feelings, and accept them when they are important,but let them do more easily when they're not?

You are welcome to bring a packed lunch. There are cafes and shops nearby

2 - 4pm  Living well with Dementia: Worthing Town Cryers
Tim Wilkins, Service User Involvement Officer, and Worthing Town Cryers will show how it is possible to live well and enjoy life with dementia.

4 - 6pm Worthing Dementia Action Alliance: All are welcome to attend this meeting

7- 8pm  Dementia Friends Training : Guild Care
Learn a little more about dementia and how we might respond. No test, no previous knowledge needed.  A badge is given to all participants

12 October

9 - 1pm  Healthy Lifestyles Adur and Worthing Wellbeing  - Opportunities to have a 'wellbeing MOT' and to talk about the healthier life style choices. Information, 'Sugar Game', advice

11am     Herbs and Food for Body and Mind - Andrea Hughes, medical herbalist
Andrea will explore how the medicinal properties of herbs are used to promote wellbeing. In this session there will be opportunities to make and try different herbal teas and taste different aromatic waters.

2pm       Yummy Antidepressants  - We are Food Pioneers
What we eat can support how we feel and nature provides us with four natural antidepressants: Omega 3, Vitamin B 6 and 12, Amino Acid and Complex Carbohydrates. With tasty samples, demonstrations and some easy recipes, We are Foodpioneers shows you how to incorporate naturally mood-lifting foods in your  diet in an easy and tasty way.

13 October

10am      Getting into Paid Work  - Southdown Housing
Jack Fawcett and Rebecca Skeates, Employment  Specialists  with Southdown, will lead an informal  presentation. They will be available afterwards for one-to-one chats

11am      Maintaining Emotional Wellness Workshop: - Capital Project Trust
Representatives from CAPITAL Project Trust help participants explore ways for maintaining and regaining emotional wellness.

12 - 2pm  Self care: Complementary Therapies - Lauren will give a short presentation about the benefits of  breathing  techniques and massages.  Over the lunch break, you are welcome to receive an individual taster  session of arm and hand massages

2 - 4pm    Art Therapy : Carers Support  Emotional Wellbeing Team
Expressive art therapy is the use of creative arts as a  form of therapy and is a fantastic field that has proven  to work wonders in many people’s lives. It can help  someone express themselves, explore their emotions, manage addictions, and improve their self-esteem.

14 October

Eleanor will lead this workshop exploring issues around diversity and how this may impact on the wellbeing on those from black, ethnic and minority groups

2 - 4pm   Colouring for Relaxation - West Sussex Library Service
Enjoy a time to relax by colouring in. All material provided by Worthing Library.

2 - 4pm   A Quiet Time  - Opportunities for quiet activities.
You might like to enjoy some poetry, use a finger labyrinth, or try some stitching. Bring your own materials, or use those provided.

7:30pm    Concert: retiring collection for MIND
