There is no need to have any nutritional background knowledge to take part – the only thing required is a willingness to explore the idea that food can affect our mood. We will look at which foods can cause problems, which foods can help, and how you can easily change your diet to include good mood food. The workshop is presented by Maggie Thorpe, a qualified Nutritional Therapist and Lecturer from Forward Thinking Nutrition.

Mental Health Awareness

The first ever Worthing Mental Health Awareness Week

Monday 7 October – Saturday 12 October 2013
Bob is fully supportive of Worthing Mental Health Awareness Week this year as this is close to is heart

Bob Says: “I have chosen to support Alzheimer's Society, Guild Care and Worthing & Arun Mind for my mayoral charities in 2013/14 because they are causes close to my heart of championing mental health. These are all much loved organisations in Worthing, making a real difference in supporting local people and I hope you will join me in helping them to continue the great work that they do”

Below is a schedule of the events that will be held this year in  support of Worthing Mental Health Awareness Week. Most of the events are at Offington Park Methodist Church and are free unless stated

Worthing Churches
Homeless Project

Is displaying some of the artwork which was donated as part of the Worthing Art Trails in June and July. Over 400 pieces of artwork, each based on the profile of a WCHP client, were produced by local artists, both professional and amateur. Many of these profiles highlight mental health issues and the consequent impact on clients’ lives.

This exhibition will provide an opportunity for everyone to ‘bid’ for one of these works of art, and so support the work of WCHP.
